Put the top down, hit some unknown
backroads. Turn off the navigation
so you can get a little lost.
Drive too fast, just a little bit.
Waste some of that precious gasoline.
It must be afternoon. You must be alone.
Music a little loud or no music at all,
depending. Now and then,
check those baby blues in the rearview
to see if you’re still alive. Otherwise,
see whatever’s to be seen. Let the wind
slap some goddamn sense into you.
Ignore the cost. An hour session will
deliver you somewhere. Look around.
You’ll feel better. A little.
